Evidence on evidence-informed policy and practice

Knowledge brokerage and knowledge mobilisation are generic terms used to describe activities that enable the use of research evidence inform policy, practice individual decision making. intermediary (KBI) initiatives facilitate such evidence. Drawing on examples from existing initiatives, this chapter is structured in five parts. Each part seeks address areas where KBIs could be more evidence-informed their work: 1. Needs analysis; 2. Integrating wider systems contexts; 3. Methods theories change; 4. Evidence standards; 5. Evaluation monitoring. For each area, questions suggested explore how principles being followed practice. Recommendations for KBIs, policy makers funders provided at end chapter. The adapted an open-access paper published & Policy.
